I have to be honest here and say I was slightly nervous when my (absolutely wonderful) Grandparents phoned to say that they wanted to organise a surprise photoshoot with myself for their best friends (who aren’t big fans of photos) after a meal in Bungay. I think it’s important that you still document your life as you get older and I think growing old and staying strong and positive is something to be celebrated and not something to shy away from! Bob and Moe aren’t the biggest fans of having their photos taken so thankfully, my Granny told them both before the shoot day! After lots of explaining about my approach and Moe shying away from the lens, they both started to let their guard down and realise that the photos were simply the two of them having a chat and the occasional embrace – nothing more. The shoot took place in my parents garden (Bungay, Suffolk) in the Springtime so everything had started to bloom (which was a great distraction/ conversations topic for Bob and Moe as they are keen gardeners!) Of course I couldn’t let my Grandparents get away without having a photo so I managed to get all four of them together! I think you can really see how both Bob and Moe could not live without each other.
